This is our first test blog!
Today we are just packing and doing last minute organizing things. We have so far gotten most of our clothes into one suit case and then we are hoping to use the rest to bring along some medical supplies for them to have at the hospital. But we are both very excited to be taking off in two days on this awesome adventure. We have started taking our malaria medicine and are packing up the medicine cabinet, so we can make sure to keep ourselves healthy and well throughout our trip.
We fly late in the day on Thursday and we get into Kenya on Friday night late as well. We will arrive in Tenwek and get settled into our room in the Guesthouse on Saturday! So hopefully our next blog will be on Saturday or Sunday when we are all settled in!
Thanks for your support and prayers,
Tracy and Katie Voss
Hey guys - safe travels. Our prayers are with you. Can't wait to hear from you as you begin your work. Hope you can share some pictures too.

We will post a photo once we arrive and we will be planning on posting an update daily if time permits. we will be working at Tenwek Hospital in Bomet Kenya. It is a mission site that is run by World Medical Mission, a subsidary of Samaritan's Purse. You can google both those sites for more information about these organizations. Franklin Graham is the main coordinator. We are so excited and hope many of our church and family friends will be in contact with us and will keep us in their thoughts and prayers. Thank you to Cathy Reisch for setting this up for us. We are low tech people trying to live in a high tech world. We are so grateful to have internet access in the middle of nowhere kenya. Love to all and take care, Tracy Voss
ReplyDeleteThinking about you both tonight. Hope all goes well tomorrow, flights on time and traveling is easy. I checked out the local weather

Sounds like Fall in SC. Looks like very little chance of snow...ever. Looked up the climate too - found out their hot months are December thru March. Looks like you are going to have more "South Carolina" type weather than we have had. Take care and Godspeed.
Our prayers are with you, Cathy Reisch
